MyFi is a white label FinTech product created for Accenture. It helps users based in the United Kingdom apply to buy a house without leaving the home.
I created the name, in-product content, app store copy, and product guidelines. I was also involved in creating an ad script and internal branding effort for the team behind the white label brand.
After performing an in-depth naming process, I narrowed the options to 10 possible names. I explored these names in more detail, performed competitor analysis tasks, copyright availability, and other due diligence.
I presented options to the team. We presented our choice to leadership and settled on MyFi, with the lock-up ‘powered by Accenture’ to add brand recognition and trust.
The brief was to give the brand some quirky personality. As the audience would be exclusively British, this allowed us to explore some playful options within the product titles.
These would be tested for comprehension and localisation before launch.
I worked with an animator to create a storyboard for an animated script. We started by highlighting the product benefits, and then framing it around a realistic user story.
We eventually settled on a 1st person voiceover. The theme would show the users commute, while also showing his application journey.
Creating the voice from scratch meant a lot of testing and iteration. We tested tone and language with users to smooth out the rough edges. This helped keep the style guide up to date.
As a team, we worked through our wireframes to really refine the experience. We looked at unhappy journeys and edge cases, as well as the optimal experience, to make sure users found their time with the application helpful and engaging.
